IgG & IgA Food Allergy Testing
Functional Health Center in Denver
Are you wondering, "Could I be allergic to some of the foods that I eat and are they negatively influencing my health?" If you are experiencing negative side effects, then stop to consider if it could be related to your diet. What many individuals fail to realize is that their food allergies may be contributing to poor immunity or poor intestinal health. In even more cases, people may be unaware that their intestinal health issues or weight gain could be the result of an allergic reaction to the foods they eat. At South Denver Wellness, we provide IgG & IgA food allergy testing that allows you to learn whether or not your health issues are related to allergies or to food sensitivity, such as
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Knowledge is power, so find out what foods disagree with you and actually inhibit you from being the healthiest you can be. Set up an appointment and get tested for allergies today!
Reasons to Test for Food Allergies
Symptoms of food allergies include rashes, bloating, fatigue/exhaustion, and even depression. The reason why it can be difficult to link these symptoms to the foods you eat is because of the nature of IgG (Immunoglobulin G) antibodies in your system. These antibodies fight against the offending foods you eat; however, they have a longer term of resistance than most antibodies. This means that it can be hours or even days before the antibodies wear down and your symptoms surface. By testing for allergies, you can learn exactly what foods (out of 93 foods products) you are allergic to so that you can undergo a food elimination diet to prevent further discomfort.
In addition, we can determine common foods that might have a negative reaction to the lining of the small intestine. We assess for Immunoglobulin, a reactivity to milk, egg, soy, and gluten as this will help us determine if these food proteins might be harmful to you.
Fee & Insurance
South Denver Wellness offers affordable IgG & IgA food allergy testing. Health insurance usually does not cover IgG & IgA allergy testing. However, you may be able to apply a health savings or medical flex spending account for the test. The cost of the test with detailed report, 4-day rotation diet, ranges between $150 to $479.
